I thank you for visiting our Embassy’s website that provides up-to-date information on political, economic, socio-cultural aspects of Nepal, Nepal-South Africa relations, mission’s major activities and consular services, among others.
I feel immensely pleased and privileged to represent the Government of Nepal as the fourth resident Ambassador to this amazingly beautiful country of the Republic of South Africa: a pious land of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.
Taking this occasion, I would like to express profound satisfaction over excellent relations between Nepal and South Africa in multiple areas of our mutual interests on both bilateral and multilateral fronts. I am very much pleased to note that friendship, goodwill, mutual trust, and cooperation continue to shape close, cordial and decades-old meaningful bilateral relations. In nearly three decades of diplomatic relations, the bilateral cooperation is ever growing.
In this light, I commit to take Nepal-South Africa relations to a newer elevation, particularly in the areas of trade, tourism, FDI, human resource development, sharing of development modalities and experiences as well as people-to-people contacts during my tenure.
I am equally pleased to mention that Nepal enjoys very cordial and cooperative relations with Mauritius, Seychelles, Kenya, Botswana, Lesotho, DR Congo, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Gabon, Mozambique, Cóte d’ Ivoire, Cabo Verde, Liberia, Angola, Burkina Faso, Benin and Burundi, to which our Embassy here is concurrently accredited. We remain steadfast to further strengthening such friendly relations in our mutual benefits in the days ahead.
Also, we remain proactively committed to continue to serving our Nepali Diasporas as well as foreign nationals in South Africa and other accredited countries with efficient consular services. Needless to say, safeguarding the interests and promoting the welfare of Nepali Diasporas in these accredited countries and beyond figures prominently as a significant priority.
