An Office Assistant is required for the Embassy of Nepal in Pretoria, the Republic of South Africa. Interested candidates may apply with a complete CV along with a photo mentioning minimum and maximum expected salary. The candidates should possess the following qualifications and are required to undergo the set selection procedures and, when selected, to take over the duties and responsibilities during the office hours as follows:
Qualification: -SLC or equivalent
-Good at written and spoken Nepali, English
Office Hours: 9:00 to 17:00 hours from Monday to Friday (except during holidays)

Duties and responsibilities:
• To open the Office before office hour and close the office after the office hours,
• To keep the Office (Chancery) rooms, corridors, passage, bathrooms, tables, chairs, couches and surrounding places clean and tidy,
• To assist the Ambassador and other diplomats as well as office secretary in their official functions and other related duties,
• To serve tea, coffee and other items/refreshments to diplomatic officials and/or Embassy officials as designated by the Embassy as per requirements at the office,
• To serve guests during office programs, functions, Ambassador’s residence and during other times as designated by the Embassy from time to time,
• To serve the guests of theEmbassy with courtesy at Office with tea, coffee, water or other refreshments as instructed by Embassy officials,
• To open and close the gates of the Office whenever there are visitors and ensure that the visitors are entering the office for some business purpose that the Embassy offers,
• To assist in typing official documents, handling office telephone whenever the Office Secretary is out of office or busy with some other business and make data entry to registers, or files,
• To fill up data online for e-passport or MRP application forms for Nepali service seekers and help with visa matters to the visa seekers,
• To maintain and report to the officials day-to-day stocks of general kitchen and cleaning items,
• To collect and dispatch letters and documents/mails of the Embassy to and from the airport, post, local government authorities, Embassies, companies and other offices in Pretoria, Johannesburg and surrounding vicinity accompanying the Driver,
• To keep office equipment, electronic goods and office towels etc. clean,
• To report to the Embassy about the works and suggest course of action to be taken, if necessary, for smooth running of the office,
• To carry out other tasks as required by the Embassy.
• To be punctual on duty as well as presentably dressed.
