Procedures on Demand Letter Attestation

1.Institutional Recruitment (Recruitment by Nepali manpower agency)

1.1 Required documents and procedures
The originals of following documents, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of employment and its Embassy/High Commission based in Pretoria, should be submitted to the Embassy for attestation. Specimens may also be downloaded below:

1. Demand Letter
2. Employment Contract
3. Power of Attorney
4. Guarantee Letter
5. Agency Agreement between Nepali Manpower Agency and a foreign employer company

In addition, the Copies of above-mentioned documents including the followings should also be included in above Demand Letter at the time of submission to the Embassy for attestation.

1. A copy of commercial registration certificate of a foreign employer company
2. Copies of Nepali manpower agency’s Company Registration Certificate and tax clearance certificate until the previous Fiscal Year
3. A copy of company profile of a foreign employer company
4. A request letter for endorsement addressed to the Ambassador of the Embassy

(Note: Other documents such as proof of salary payment by the employer company to Nepali workers in their bank accounts, list of current Nepali workers, labour permit/quota of a foreign employer company to recruit foreign workers, among others, may be submitted, if requested by the Embassy.)

1.2 Processing Time
-A maximum of 7 working days

1.3 Attestation Fees
-1 to 25 labours: Rand 5000/00
-26 to 100 labours: Rand 6000/00
-101 labours and above: Rand 7000/00

2. Individual Recruitment ( at individual worker’s initiative)

2.1 Required Documents and procedure
1. Original Work Visa issued by the relevant authority of the country of employment and its copy
2. A sample employment contract (to be done between a foreign employer company and a Nepali worker) detailing salary, employment terms, and other facilities as attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of employment
3. Copies of commercial registration certificate and company profile of a foreign employer company
4. Copies of Nepali Citizenship Certificate and Passport
5. Copy of Relationship Certificate as attested by the Department of Consular Services, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal (If relatives of a worker -father, mother, brother, sister, son or daughter and spouse currently working in a foreign country open for foreign employment- manage to get the work visa for him/her in a good employer company)
6. Proof of previous visa or residence of a foreign country of employment (If a worker has already worked in a foreign country of employment and wishes to go for foreign employment in that country again)
7. Email communication between a Nepali worker and a foreign employer company (if a worker is selected through online interview)
8. An Application by a Nepali worker, addressed to the Embassy

(Note: Other procedures may be required in line with prevailing laws of the Governments of Nepal and, of a foreign country of employer company).

2.2 Processing Time
– A maximum of 3 working days
